Planck-Scale
Note:
The game might flicker a couple fo times during startup. That's because of some annoying renderer issues I couldn't figure out how to fix. The game may also freeze when transitioning between levels. The game has not broken - it's just prerendering the next level.
Welcome to Planck Scale! In this game, you play as an electron traversing the microscopic world. You must dodge positrons, exploit the forces of gravitons, and navigate dark matter, all while dealing with tricky probabilities from your tunneling ability and teleporters.
This game was coded in vanilla JavaScript using the p5.js renderer and a custom physics engine. It was built in 48 hours for Micro Jam #45, which had the theme miniature and a prerequisite of gambling addiction. When I found out about these requirements, I immediately decided on quantum mechanics, because it is 1) the study of the smallest thing in the universe, 2) based entirely on probabilities, and it's 3) just so dang cool!
Disclaimer:
I am aware of the inaccuracies in the portrayal of quantum mechanics in my game. This game was intended to be loosely based around quantum physics only, so apologies to any of my fellow nerds who find this annoying :)
